Published: August 26, 2024.

Dr. Mardy Philippian, Ph.D., Professor of English Studies and Director of the Language and Literature concentration, has been invited to join the editorial board of the "" series. Published by the University of Edinburgh, this series delves into the intersection of early modern literature and disability studies, a rapidly growing academic field.

Sonya Freeman Loftis, the M. Mitchell Chair of English at Morehouse College in Atlanta, leads the Edinburgh Critical Studies in Early Modern Literature and Disability series. The series aims to provide critical insights into how literature from the early modern period reflects and influences societal views on disability.

Dr. Philippian's research in literature and disability studies explores how literature both reflects and shapes societal attitudes toward disability. He has been a strong advocate for the inclusion of disabled voices in literature and academia.
