Hazing

ȺpÎÞÂë has a Zero Tolerance policy regarding hazing. Lewis defines hazing as:

"Any action taken or situation created, either intentionally or unintentionally, on or off campus, to produce physical discomfort, embarrassment, ridicule, or possible physical harm or injury as a requirement for belonging to the group."

In simple terms, hazing is anything that causes physical or mental harm to a person that is required to join a particular group.

Participating in hazing activity not only jeopardizes an organization's recognition on campus, but the participants' status as students at ȺpÎÞÂë.

To report suspected hazing please contact the Office of Student Activities or the Office of Student Services. All concerns are treated confidentially.
