Welcome

The University Faculty Development Committee is made up of faculty representing the four colleges and the School of Graduate, Professional & Continuing Education. This Committee meets regularly to discuss opportunities for providing support for faculty across the university, including adjuncts. These opportunities may include presentations and discussions facilitated by colleagues.

Another of the ways that Faculty Development supports the work of faculty is through funding for attendance and presentation at conferences and workshops. Faculty may also request funds for a university-wide book group. Those faculty interested in conducting research in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning can apply for a stipend to help cover the costs of research.

Two key events that the Committee sponsors each year in conjunction with the Office of the Provost are the Adjunct Faculty Recognition Dinner in January and the May Teaching Institute each May. Both events provide development opportunities focused on teaching and learning.
