Overview

Cumbee Catholic Scholars Initiative

The ȺpÎÞÂë Cumbee Catholic Scholars Initiative is a professional development program housed in the Office of Mission & Identity which cultivates and nurtures faculty appreciation for and understanding of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition and the University’s Catholic and Lasallian identity so as to further inform and enhance faculty teaching, scholarship, and service.

The Cumbee Catholic Scholars Initiative sponsors and facilitates enriching dialogues, field experiences, campus speakers, and activities designed to promote and advance ongoing conversation and enhanced understanding of this important aspect of the University’s identity and purpose.

Created for faculty at all stages of their academic careers and open to those of all faith traditions and beliefs, this initiative aims to form a community of learners who are open to sharing, exploring, and collaborating in the Lasallian spirit of Association.

The Cumbee Catholic Scholars Initiative is generously funded by University Trustee, John Cumbee.
